Character Info
◎ Character's Name: Jaco
◎ Character's Canon: Galactic Patrolman Jako
◎ Character's Age: Adult? He claims to be an adult, so over 18 but it's never specified.
◎ Canon Point: End of the 11th Chapter
◎ Background/History: http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Jaco_the_Galactic_Patrolman
◎ Is the character a hacker and/or do they have a sixth-sense? Nope
◎ Personality: Jaco is a powerless superhero. That's not to say he isn't powerful! But as far as abnormal ability goes, his massive strength and speed are simply a result of dedication and his alien race. With a strong sense of justice and a proclivity for heroic poses, Jaco would fit right in with a Saturday morning group of heroes ala Power Rangers or Kamen Rider. Despite the apathy he seems to have towards humanity, even going so far as to casually threaten their extinction, his sense of duty kicks into action the moment he witnesses any wrongdoing or crime. And boy is Earth a pot of crime ready to boil over! Seeing the rampant greed, malice, and dishonesty from space it's hard not to understand why Jaco would see humans as so beneath him. They're a primitive race, not done developing according to his captain, but they are still apparently worth protecting from the barbaric Saiyan race. This mixture of disdain and dedication to his job as a Galactic Protector results in the alien coming off as a little more standoffish than some, occasionally. Of course, once he gains any sort of bond he goes the standard hero route of undying loyalty and obligation to protect.
One weakness is an interest in television and watching movies. Almost to the point that he can become distracted by them! For instance, if he hadn't been watching a video while piloting, he wouldn't have struck the earth's moon and plummeted into the ocean. This fascination with media doesn't even seem to be the result of alien curiosity, but more out of boredom and a thirst for televised entertainment. That's not to say he's not a curious individual. During his time on the island, he spent much of his leisure time hitting leaves with sticks, poking crabs with sticks, and staring at sea lice. It is almost child like, which is something he would quickly scramble to defend if anyone were to comment on it.
He began his journey on a mission to Earth to save humanity from the threat of a Saiyan invasion. While he regarded the population of earth with faint disgust and contempt, his task was to repel any invading entity that appeared. The opportunity to make his galactic patrol proud was too good to pass up! Though the problem with that, which he was well aware of, was that Saiyans are an absurdly powerful race of warmongering savages. He was more than willing to simply abandon the planet if it turned out to be a fully grown adult, but stayed due to the possibility of it simply being a child as the race had been known to send off children to some weaker planets. So while his sense of duty is incredibly strong, there are moments where self preservation absolutely takes priority.
What would have been a routine planet defense turned into a slightly longer stay when, in an embarrassing show of distraction, Jaco managed to hit the moon and damage his spaceship. During his stay with the scientist Omori, Jaco gained an appreciation for some humans. Of course the majority were cruel and corrupt, but he realized that there were many out there who were good and kind, if not respectable enough to make their planet worth protecting. One example of friendship he's gained would be the Briefs family. Tights in particular, whom he saved while in the city, and who returned the favor tenfold when she introduced Jaco and Omori to her wealthy family.
During one of his travels into the city, it's revealed that Jaco has a habit of flying off the handle when he's particularly agitated. He is definitely the sort of alien that would sooner blow apart his problems than deal with them rationally. Which is sort of worrying given his choice in career. Despite this, justice is always the first thing on Jaco's mind and he will always strive to fight for peace while showing the flair required of a galactic patrolman. He even learns to put enough of a cap on his emotions to avoid killing unnecessarily! By the end of his story, he actually goes so far as to save the entire city by essentially drop kicking a falling rocket over the ocean and blasting it to pieces over the safety of the water. This act of valor earns him the title of "Mr. Super Elite" from the citizens and a sketched portrait in the news... A sketching that was inaccurate enough to infuriate Jaco into storming into the news station and posing for a proper photo.
◎ Powers/Abilities:
*Super strength - While being a small alien compared to most humans, Jaco possesses an incredible strength completely disproportionate to his size. He's able to single-handedly lift his own space ship as well as jump hundreds of feet off the ground. He's even able to kill a massive shark monster in a single double fisted swing. As seen here.
*Super speed/acrobatics - While he hasn't shown any remarkable speed, he's able to cross large distances by simply jumping massive lengths. He's agile enough to bounce from building to building, like a large flea, and has been shown to be able to catch bullets before they hit him. Combined with his strength, Jaco was able to jump from the top of a tower and kick a massive rocket out over the ocean.
*Heightened sense of sight and hearing - This feeds into his accuracy with his laser as Jaco is able to spot a ship far off on the horizon before it even appears on Omori's binoculars. And while not a physical ability, Jaco's galactic receivers (those little nubs he wears on the sides of his head) can "hear an ant burp more than 300 feet away." in his words.
*A vast mental library (possibly missing a fair amount) - While not extremely applicable in the game, Jaco knows every language in his galaxy. According to him, he's had "all those different text books" inputted into his brain over the span of four hours. Though he also mentions passing on a few crucial books (ship repair for instance) so it's hard to say how much he really knows and how much he's passed on. So for the sake of simplicity, this app is running under the assumption that aside from language and galaxial law, Jaco's passed on a fair number of books/knowledges.
*Only needs to sleep for half an hour. - Self-explanatory, he needs a very small amount of time before his tiny body has all the energy it requires.
◎ Weapons & Other Special Inventory:
Blaster - A powerful standard issue galactic patrol laser gun.
Extinction Bomb - A capsule containing a virus that can kill an entire species. Of course it'll be completely inert and useless on arrival into the game, essentially an empty prop.
CEREALIA-Specific
◎ Element: Air
◎ Sense: Sight - A warrior of justice must be able to spot crimes and uphold the peace. Jaco's sight provides him with his accuracy and helps him avoid hitting buildings as he jumps around.
◎ Seven Character Traits: [ Dutiful, Strong Willed, Righteous ] | [ Indignant, Quick to take offense, Careless ] + Dedicated to justice
Samples
◎ First-Person Sample: Test drive with Steven!
◎ Third-Person Sample: The Entertainment District might not have been the destination of choice for a morning workout routine, but Jaco liked to incorporate a little crime fighting in with his jogging. He sprang from his bed, tossed on his armor, adjusted his boots and leapt off towards the district! He passed the shopping areas, bouncing on his feet as he stopped to look in some of the windows before carrying on. While he could subsist off of milk and cheese for a good long while, it never hurt to see if there were any other alien cuisines similar to his planet's food. Maybe he could even find something better? The little patrolman gave a parting salute to a shopkeeper that hadn't been paying attention before taking another leap towards the Metro-rail station! It was worth checking out another time, if his stay here was going to be as long as he was told.
He decided to stop by the Gardens, vaulting over the crowds of people gathering to admire the blooms of the season. "Go go rocket, rocket go!" Jaco chimed to himself between huffs. Even here that idol's lousy song had been burned into his brain. He didn't cross much distance running alone, certainly not as much as those spry jumps, but the exotic aromas made the garden a calming place to rest a bit before heading towards his final destination. The variety in scenery was one plus in this place. It helped him feel less like he was trapped and more like this was simply an extended vacation. He didn't want to dwell on any of this, though. It was hard to fight off the feeling of failing his galaxy.
Eventually, after picking up the pace a fair amount, the lights and sounds of the entertainment district surrounded him. A gritty urban aura overcame the patrolman, and he felt a rush of both excitement and readiness. He hopped and climbed up onto one of the buildings, scanning the scene for any thugs up to no good. "Evil can't escape the sight of a super elite!" He said proudly, curling his fist with an overflowing wave of justice. Oh, what was that being played across the street? The patroller shifted out of his kneeling guard stance and sat with his legs hanging over the side of the building. He didn't need his sight to hear bad guys breaking the law, right? Jaco watched with intrigue as the arcade's flashing lights displayed an image of a hardcore police officer blasting monsters away with his gun. That was some peacekeeping Jaco could get behind.
